The Role of University Library in the Cultural Poverty Alleviation

Abstract

Abstract: The root cause of economic poverty is cultural poverty. Farmers in poor areas are conservative in ideology and cultural quality, which has seriously affected the development of regional economy. University library should play fully own advantages into cultural poverty alleviation work, in the aspects of assisting library construction in distressed area, unblocking farmer's information access, propagandizing environmental protection policies, providing basic education for poverty alleviation, and make contribution for national cultural poverty alleviation.
