Specific Example and Enlightenment of GIS as the Content of Library Subject Service

Abstract: Subject service is one of the most important functions of library. New and high quality of subject service can play a supportive role in the university library. This paper mainly described the content of GIS subject service and took the regional logistics center location as the research objective to introduce the principle and the operations of the application of GIS technology in the regional logistics center location. It selected the operation of logistics distribution center address in Harbin area as a typical example, using ARCGIS software to make an example analysis, and gained a satisfactory result. At the same time, it referred that the library service should strengthen the policy support and conduct multi-cooperation for GIS science, to improve the quality of librarians and promotion.
