Research on University Subject Data Repository Based on Cloud Storage

Abstract: The scientific data management in universities has faced with the problems such as mass data, distributed storage and difficult data collection. This paper described the advantages of university subject data repository based on cloud storage, which could not only solve the problems such as long-term preservation of scientific data, mass storage, data sharing and data collection at a lower cost, but establish a unified metadata specification of scientific data and realize the scientific data management and sharing across the country. In the end, it built the cloud storage model of subject data repository from three levels, including infrastructure service, platform service and application service.
