Basic Statistics and Analysis of Chinese Agricultural core Periodicals

Abstract: To understand the basic situation of Chinese agricultural core periodicals, analysis and statistics of their category, start publication time, region, sponsoring organization, jointly publishing and publication frequency were carried out based on the Chinese agricultural core periodicals listed in The General View of Chinese Agricultural Core Periodicals in 2014. Results showed that comprehensive agricultural periodical was in the highest proportion among 189 core periodicals in 13 categories, accounting for 12.17 %; the number of agricultural core periodicals reached the highest from 1980 to 1989 with 41.80 %; among the 189 kinds of core periodicals, sponsoring organizations of 63 ones were located in Beijing and core periodicals from academic institutes, kinds of societies and institutions of higher education ranked first; In addition, 50.26 % of the agricultural core periodicals were bimonthly published and 35.98 % were monthly published.
