Exploration on Methods of Economic Value Assessment of Public Libraries

Abstract: Public libraries are supported by public finance and their economic value needs to be assessed. This paper analyzes the economic attributions of public libraries as public goods and explores the principle of the output of economic value of public libraries. Based on the findings, structure of economic value of public libraries are analyzed, summary of methods of economic value assessment of public libraries are made and corresponding suggestions of assessing and improving economic value of public libraries are proposed.
