Abstract: In micro-era of information with high visualization and interaction, public library, as theinformation center, can’t meet needs of the public with multi-level culture. This paper proceeds from thepublic reading characteristic in ‘micro’ era, from the knowledge discovery, the transformation intoservices, and the realization of the service, to put forward the knowledge service conception of public library to better satisfy with the demand of public information under the background of micro era.
