多版次西文图书的著录及种次号各馆处理方法不同,没有统一规范,容易出现同种书不同版次编目不一致、种次号不规范的现象。根据图书著录的根本思想和归类要求,编目人员需正确区分西文图书原版多版次与影印版多版次版本,做好新书、重书和同种书的认定,客观详细著录题名、版本、出版发行项与版本沿革等信息。通过西文图书版本分析,根据工作实践经验提出该类图书种次号及辅助区分号的处理方法。

Every library has different criterions to deal with the cataloguing and title number of multi-edition western language books with no uniform criterion, so it is easy to occur different cataloguing and title number for multi-edition of one book. According to the basic idea of book description and classification requirements, the cataloging personnel needs to distinguish the edition of western language books and authorize photomechanical printing books correctly, and confirm whether they are new books, duplicate books or the same kind of books, and objectively describe cataloguing title, version, published version and history and other information in detail. Through the analysis on the version of western language books, this paper put forward the treatment methods of the title number and auxiliary distinguish code about this kind of books based on the working practice.
