Abstract: Based on the questionnaire which is carried out among rural residents in Qingyang, Gansu, it analyses the satisfaction of information demand, the type of information required, the access to information, the information access barriers, the favorite information service, the expectation for information service, and the attitude to information service charges. The results show that their information demand is diversified, the traditional information channels occupies an important position, and low information literacy influences their need satisfaction.
