Abstract: As an effective means of library work, cataloging work outsourcing has been accepted and used by many university libraries in recent years, and played an important role in the construction of library literature. This paper discussed the connotation and development evolution of library’s cataloging work outsourcing, and introduced the main outsourcing forms. By summarizing and analyzing the experience of cataloging outsourcing in Library of Dalian Jiaotong University, it pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of this cataloging outsourcing form, and put forward the quality control methods of cataloging outsourcing.
