Abstract: Digital library is the function extension of traditional library in the society with information technology highly developed, which is multi-level without the limitation of time and space, and has big difference in management and organization mode compared with traditional library. Digital library has become one of the main development trends now, which brought not only opportunities but challenges for traditional library. This paper mainly discussed the application of virtual reality in digital library, and applied survey method, case analysis, comparative analysis and other research methods to analyze the digital library technology with the support of virtual reality technology.
