The promulgation of the Opinions on Advancing the Management Work on Ancient Classics in the New Era brought great development opportunities to the research on protection and management of ancient books and documents, the innovative development of digital humanities and the upgrading of cultural industry. Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, the work on protection and management of ancient books and documents in China has achieved fruitful results. In order to advance the management work on ancient classics in the new era, and promote the sharing, publicity and reuse of ancient books and docuemnts, the Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture organized a special seminar on four directions.1)Computing humanities should become an important discipline method for the research and management work of ancient books and docuemnts in the new era. By making full use of computing humanities' theories and methods, and giving full play to the advantages of the knowledge base of ancient classics and related knowledge service platforms in humanities computing, semantic publishing and cultural popularization, more abundant resource base, more convenient technical support and more intuitive promotion form for the work on ancient classics in the New Era will be obtained.2)Data intelligence empowerment brings new opportunities to the development of ancient classics. In recent years, with the progress of image OCR recognition, natural language processing and machine learning technologies and their successful applications in the managment work on ancient books and documents, the management work on ancient classics has begun to advance from digital development to intelligent development.3)New technologies are explored for the sharing, publicity and reuse of ancient classics. Although the professionals in the industry of ancient books have been reducing the cost of and limitation to sharing ancient books by establishing the normative guarantee at the institutional level and exploring technological forces for a long time, they still fail to achieve the ideal effect on how to achieve the balance between preservation and utilization. The introduction of new technologies such as blockchain, the new business models such as non-homogeneous tokens, and the initial formation of new digital media industry chains such as "virtual digital human" and "digital collections" will provide new opportunities for the asset-based management of ancient books, and the development of cultural and creative products and the evidence-based on-chain based on the digital content of ancient books.4)Vitality and utilization of ancient books is the new task for the professionals in the industry. The aim can be achieved by using the text-orientation, datafication and knowledgeization as the means of transformation and utilization of ancient book resources in the new era, actively building the national digital resource platform of ancient books, and constructing the ancient book knowledge system through artificial intelligence, virtual reality technologies, and other intelligent media.

[Purpose/Significance] Rare ancient books are an important carrier of Chinese culture. At present, the focus of ancient books research has been on the original and regenerative protection, while the conservation of inheritance is relatively lagging behind, and the role of the promotion of ancient books reading has not been fully played. The emergence of virtual reality (VR) technology provides a new idea and method for the intelligent transformation of ancient book reading promotion, which is of great value to the construction of a library's intelligent knowledge service system and the innovation of the service mode. With the help of VR technology, the intelligent reading promotion of ancient books shows the characteristics of "narrative presentation scene", "reading service immersion" and "reading space humanization". [Method/Process] In order to provide reference for the research and development of intelligent reading in the new era, this paper first discusses the concept "gene" of intelligent reading of ancient books enabled by the VR technology, and summarizes the application scenarios of the VR technology in the promotion of intelligent reading of ancient books, combined with the National Library of China's specific case on "VR panorama cultural classics". Then the application path of VR technology was put forward enabling the intelligent reading and promotion of ancient books. To this end, this paper first summarizes the concept "genes" of intelligent reading promotion from a macro perspective, and then analyzes the application scenarios of VR technology in the promotion of intelligent reading of ancient books based on the investigation of the application cases of "VR + ancient book reading promotion". It analyzes the construction practice of "VR Panorama Cultural Classics" in the National Library of China from four perspectives of content narrative, visual presentation, empathy mechanism and communication strategy, to construct a "VR and ancient books" reading promotion path. The content narrative of "VR panoramic cultural books" should focus on activating characteristic collection's historical materials and recording key historical moments. In the aspect of visual presentation, it should pay attention to excavating the elements of characteristic cultural scene and reconstructing the landscape scientifically and rigorously. In terms of the mechanism of empathy, the focus should be put on the use of the block type structure to present the history panorama, and the use of typical characters to compose stories. When it comes to communication strategy, it should pay attention to jointly creating a new pattern of "library +" by combining online and offline multi-screen media. [Results/Conclusions] A library should first pay attention to narrative expression, and the control of the narrative logic of ancient book stories. Second, the library should pay attention to scene perception and explore the presentation mode of panoramic vision threshold. Third, attention should be paid to top-level design and giving play to the guiding force of ancient books' cultural engineering. Fourth, the library should pay attention to cross-border cooperation and adhere to the concept of library reader service. In the promotion of reading ancient books, full consideration should be given to the particularity of ancient books resources and existing reading difficulties. In the process of content dissemination, the focus should be on contructing a model through ring upon ring decomposing and progressively thinning method, and taking targeted measures from the aspects of top-level design, strengthening demonstration, building benchmarking, series construction, cross-border cooperation, building platforms, strengthening perception and strengthening ethical supervision, so as to promote the intelligent reading and promotion of ancient books.

[Purpose/Significance] It is of great significance to carry out research on the recognition and classification of trigger verbs in ancient books oriented to digital humanities for the deep mining and content revealing of ancient texts. This paper uses the deep learning classification algorithm to explore an automated method for multivariate classification of event sentence text based on trigger words in ancient books. [Method/Process] Based on the construction of the classic event trigger word classification system and trigger dictionary, four different types of event sentence texts are selected as experimental data, and the category labels and sentence texts are coded separately using Onehot and Tokenizer, and then the classifier is trained in the Bi-LSTM model, and a comparative experiment is set by adjusting the parameters, and the performance of the classifier is analyzed by using a general evaluation index. [Results/Conclusions] The classifier after many training and adjustments has an accuracy of 0.95 in the evaluation of the test set, which proves that the experimental method based on deep learning and the constructed trigger word data set can effectively help us realize automatic multivariate classification of event sentence text of ancient books.

[Purpose/Significance] Chinese ancient books are one of the most important carriers to condense the essence of Chinese traditional culture. However, scholars have found that the database of Chinese ancient books only provides book metadata, which can only meet the basic retrieval and use needs of users, but does not dig and utilize Chinese ancient books in depth from the perspective of knowledge organization. The research in digital humanities is in the ascendant, providing an important modern scientific and technological means for the realization of knowledge correlation of Chinese ancient books. The research on the content mining and knowledge correlation of Chinese ancient books will help to improve the development level and service quality of Chinese ancient books, and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese excellent traditional culture. [Method/Process] Through literature review and online investigation, this paper summarizes the research of Chinese ancient books' knowledge correlation from the perspective of digital humanities. Based on the research, this paper discusses the differences between traditional database and digital humanistic platforms of Chinese ancient books. First, the organization mechanism is different, and the latter has more diverse and in-depth functions. Second, the scope of collection is expanded. The latter includes not only the original documents, but also the analytical texts and extended documents of ancient books, etc. In the past, most database platforms were "digital" platforms; The digital humanistic platform of Chinese ancient books is a platform of "data", which has been upgraded from "storage" to "analysis" and "correlation". Then, the key links of Chinese ancient books' knowledge correlation are discussed, and the barriers of knowledge correlation are analyzed by examples. [Results/Conclusions] From the perspective of digital humanities, collation of Chinese ancient books has developed from document units to knowledge units by using the data analysis technology, machine learning, visualization technology, etc. The realization of knowledge correlation of Chinese ancient books starts from document organization, based on ancient book data, and its essence is knowledge organization. Knowledge correlation of Chinese ancient books can be used for local chronicles and genealogy mining, seal knowledge network discovery, research context and communication analysis of scholars in specific periods and regions. However, the current knowledge correlation of ancient books still faces barriers such as the difficulty of knowledge element processing, high technical requirements and the lack of integrated platforms in its implementation. Limited by the research conditions, this paper only discusses the research and application, key links and barriers of ancient books' knowledge correlation from a theoretical point of view. In the future work, we will take the opportunity of optimizing and upgrading our ancient books' knowledge platform, to further study the metadata description specification, text conversion and content mining of Chinese ancient books, data exchange and update mechanism among different platforms.

[Purpose/Significance] The paper introduces the progress of digital humanities research conducted by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Civilization on products in local chronicles, analyzes the existing problems and puts forward some countermeasures, to provide reference for agricultural history research from the perspective of digital humanities. [Method/Progress] This paper introduces the application of digital humanities in the collation and utilization of products in local chronicles from key links such as data resource construction, named entity recognition, big data analysis and visual presentation, and knowledge service platform construction. Problems existing in the application are analyzed and corresponding countermeasures are proposed to solve the problems. [Results/Conclusions] Firstly, data resources should be the core of digital humanities research on products in local chronicles, and the construction of digital humanities infrastructure should be accelerated. Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the practical applications of digital humanities technologies with the support of technical methods. Finally, research results of digital humanities should be verified by agricultural history experts.

[Purpose/Significance] This paper summarizes the types and development models of cultural and creative products developed in public libraries based on the collection of ancient books and literature resources, and puts forward suggestions for the development and optimization of such products. [Method/Process] With the method of online investigation and analysis, the representative online stores are selected as the research object, and the ancient literature creation products are classified according to the carrier and entity elements. [Results/Conclusions] For the development of cultural and creative products, it is necessary to strengthen the promotion of products, delve into the connotation of ancient books, broaden the channels for obtaining elements, and improve the technological content of products.
