Abstract: Disciplinary competitiveness is the basic element to evaluate the scientific research, teaching and teachers' ability level of universties, and the embodiment of comprehensive strength. Based on the basic tools of InCites and ESI database indexes, this paper used bibliometric and comparative analysis methods to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on the indexes of chemistry, engineering, materials science disciplines in 8 colleges and universities, and established the disciplinary competitiveness evalution index system to make comprehensive and multi-dimensional study on the discipline competitiveness of domestic universities.
