Abstract: It make evaluation to the public library reading promotion activities that is one of the effective means of improving the quality of reading promotion activities. At first, this paper puts forward the necessity to evaluate the public library reading promotion activities, established the four principles of evaluation, and made a detailed discussion on the evaluation content and implementation, in order to establish evaluation system of the reading promotion activities in the public library and to the further development of the reading promotion activities in our public libraries
