Analysis and Thinking on the User Information Demand for the Document Delivery Service in Unicersities —Take BALIS document delivery of the China Agricultural University for an example

Abstract: To best meet the needs of students and faculty for the literature and share resources among libraries, the document delivery service plays more and more important role. But there still remain problem of low efficiency of application as well as low satisfaction in the document delivery. This paper attempts to utilize the user information demand in the document delivery service to study the expression and features of the information demands, taking the document delivery BALIS database of the China Agricultural University Library as the analysis object. The purpose of the paper is to suggest a strategy and concrete way to upgrade the document delivery service by adjusting and integrating the library resources in order to accomplish one-stop access to the literature, improving publicity and users’ information literacy.
