Abstract: Nowadays, systems of the performance evaluation of subject librarians in universities are different. The paper analyzes the status of performance appraisal of subject librarian at home and abroad, combined with the actual situation of University Libraries in China, introduces the "360-degree Feedback Assessment ". It discusses the concept of “360-degree Feedback Assessment” , the characteristics of the method, the introduction of the significance, why we apply it to the evaluation and what should be paid attention to in evaluation, discussion on the application of the method in the appraisal of the subject librarians.
