Abstract: As one of the important cultural sites in the city, library has played a decisive role in the construction of public cultural service system. This paper analyzed the present situation of Wuxi’s libraries, combining with the characteristics of overall library industry development, and then put forward the development path of library in the construction of public cultural service system in Wuxi. It also proposed that building up urban library service system to unite all kinds of libraries would be the main development direction for urban libraries, which could effectively save resource and improve the utilization rate of resource
