Reflection On the Late-model Service of the Living Library Taking Hainan University Library as an Example

Abstract: Living book reading activities have innovated people-oriented service mode of the libraries. In this mode, people who were taken as carriers of knowledge inheritance accomplished bidirectional information transmission by face to face conversation between readers and living books. Based on the experience of the first living book reading activity conducted at Hainan University library, it analyzed the superiorities and limitations of university libraries as a late-model information exchange platform to carry out living book reading activity. Meanwhile, it summed up the successful experience and reflected the potential problems arisen in conduction of living book reading activities taken as a routine services at university libraries.
