Abstract: in recent years, with the number of the aging of our population continues to increase, and gradually entered the ageing society. Following retirement also gradually increased, to the number of old reader library is increasing day by day. Library is a public cultural facilities, the existing social significance is that anyone can use the equality of public property, improve the cultural quality of the people. Based on this significance, service for the aged readers should adhere to the people-oriented, adhere to the principle of equal service. At the same time, do well the service for the aged readers is an important part of constructing harmonious society. Therefore, how to integrate into the "active aging" concept in the library service is a realistic and urgent task.
