Research on Digital Resources Integration of Small- and Medium-Size College Libraries Based on Information Grid

Abstract: Some problems in digital resource construction of small and medium size college libraries are pointed out. It is suggested that integrate and utilize existing digital resources and provide highly effectiveness information service of teaching and scientific for the university users. Integration and sharing of resources for the purpose of grid technology becomes the mainstream of the information resource integrated technology, The paper firstly introduces the relevant technology of information grid, and Globus Toolkit 4, the existing grid network middleware is chosen as based exploit platform. the framework for the digital resources integration platform of small and medium size college libraries based on information grid is proposed.
