With the coming of information age, library needs to keep up with the pace of the society, and carry out major renovation. Traditional library information service has been unable to meet the requirements of time development, thus must be developed to digital and networked direction by using modern advanced information technology to provide readers with high quality service. In this paper, the development of library information industry’s information service from traditional to modern information service was analyzed and discussed, and the practical significance of information service and the development countermeasures were put forward, so as to promote the rapid development of library information’s modernization in China.
