Based on the readers’ borrowing history data, this paper excavated the book categories related to the readers’ majors through using the method of cluster analysis in SPSS data mining tool, and designed the personalized new books recommendation system to associate and match the readers’ professional book preference with new books, and produce the personalized new book categories and recommend to the readers by email.
