[Purpose/Significance] Deep learning for language modeling is one of the major methods and advanced technologies to enhance language intelligence of machines at present, which has become an indispensable important technical means for automatic processing and analysis of data resources, and intelligent mining of information and knowledge. However, there are still some difficulties in using deep learning for language modeling for technology development and application service in the library and information science (LIS) field. Therefore, this study systematically reviews and reveals the research progress, technical principles, and development methods of deep learning for language modeling, with the aim at providing reliable theoretical basis and feasible methodological paths for the deep understanding and application of deep learning for language modeling for librarians and fellow practitioners. [Method/Process] The data used in this study were collected from the WOS core database, CNKI literature database, arXiv preprint repository, GitHub open-source software hosting platform and the open resources on the Internet. Based on these data, this paper first systematically investigates the background, basic feature representation algorithms, and representative application development tools of deep learning for language modeling, reveals their dynamic evolution and technical principles, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages and applicability of each algorithm model and development tool. Second, an in-depth analysis of the possible challenging problems faced by the development and application of deep learning for language modeling was performed, and two strategic approaches to expand their application capabilities were put forward. [Results/Conclusions] The important challenges faced by the application and development of deep learning for language modeling include numerous parameters and difficulties to adjust accuracy, relying on a large amount of accurate training data, difficulties in making changes, and the intellectual property and information security issues. In the future, we will start from two aspects of specific domains and feature engineering to expand and improve the application capabilities of deep learning for language modeling. Specifically, we focus on consideration of the collection and preparation of domain data, selection of model architecture, participation of domain experts, and optimization for specific tasks, in order to ensure that the data source of the model is more reliable and secure, and the application effect is more accurate and practical. Moreover, the strategic methods for feature engineering to expand the application capabilities of deep learning for language modeling include selecting appropriate features, feature pre-processing, feature selection, and feature dimensionality reduction. These strategies can help improve the performance and efficiency of deep learning for language models, making them more suitable for specific tasks or domains. To sum up, LIS institutions should leverage the deep learning for language modeling related technologies, guided by the needs of scientific research and social development, and based on advantages of existing literature data resources and knowledge services; they should carry out innovative professional or vertical domain intelligent knowledge management and application service, and develop technology and systems with independent intellectual property rights, which is their long-term sustainable development path.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (6): 43-50.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0448
    Abstract295)      PDF(pc) (958KB)(184)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] A future learning center (FLC), a ground-breaking novel education model crafted in response to the burgeoning demands of a rapidly digitized and intelligent society, will undeniably spearhead the new wave of intelligent construction in contemporary university libraries. As this evolution unfolds, libraries urgently need to clarify and solidify their roles in the meticulous construction of future learning centers. Doing so will promote vibrant knowledge exchange, robustly stimulate cross-disciplinary cooperation, and also guide and embolden libraries to proactively seize unprecedented development opportunities and to collaboratively face the emerging challenges ahead. [Method/Process] To comprehend the genesis and potential of the FLC, this research undertakes a meticulous examination of its foundational concepts, overarching objectives, inherent tasks, and structural framework. It delves deep into the libraries' pivotal role in nurturing these centers, especially through the lens of role delineation and functional metamorphosis. Gleaning insights from real-world examples such as the Beijing Institute of Technology Library and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Library, this investigation seeks to capture a snapshot of the current operational landscape, along with its associated tribulations and challenges. Through this way, the research hopes to chart a roadmap, offering invaluable reference and actionable guidance for libraries poised to embark on their journey of creating FLCs. [Results/Conclusions] The future learning center encompasses an intelligent learning environment that melds information services with learning and teaching support. Such spaces are poised to emerge as novel grassroots learning organizations underpinning evolution in learning techniques and the genesis of knowledge. Crafting these future learning centers necessitates a systematic approach, calling for collaboration from various stakeholders. Within this context, libraries serve dual roles as both initiators and active contributors. While libraries' involvement in developing future learning centers remains in nascent stages of growth, the core challenge lies in pioneering a human-centric model that harmoniously fuses space, resources, and services to offer students an enriched, tailored, and novel learning journey. As educational paradigms shift, libraries must capitalize on this momentum, drawing from their foundational expertise in intelligent library development, to resonate with the evolving criteria of talent development. Confronted with myriad challenges-ranging from role definition, conceptual alignment, and overcoming educational reform resistance to enhancing professional acumen and navigating spatial constraints-libraries are suggested to strategically assimilate educational assets, reconfigure spatial methodologies, and proffer intelligent solutions. They should aim at fostering students' proficiency in autonomous, participatory, and investigative learning through diverse resources. In essence, libraries should evolve into hubs for information services, focal points for student learning, and pillars for teaching assistance.

    ZHANG Jianing, SONG Xigui
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 19-29.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0637
    Abstract119)      PDF(pc) (1075KB)(178)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chat robot based on transformer neural network that was developed by OpenAI, has now leveled up to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo. solves the problem of peer-to-peer response in human-computer interaction with its powerful natural language processing ability. Its abilities of information retrieval, language organization, logical reasoning and text induction meet the needs of library users, which makes the transition from a traditional library to a smart library with a return to knowledge service possible. The paper focuses on the development trends in the library field in the era of artificial general intelligence. [Method/Process] Based on the background of the library development in the computer age, the paper reveals the dilemma of library knowledge service through retrospective and comparative methods, pointing out the endogenous growth value of ChatGPT's high-quality analysis, demonstration and generation ability with multi-modal and full-scene deep interaction for smart library services. Library service presents a new mirror image from the perspective of ChatGPT: intelligent retrieval covers all traditional service, while the focus of information consultation, subject service and reading promotion shifts and the service margin becomes blurred. Information consultation retains the necessary share of traditional consultation, and becomes professional and focused; subject service moves forward to the frontier of all-disciplinary field; reading promotion realizes the accurate docking between the collection and the target population. The potential risks and challenges posed by ChatGPT include copyright risk and secondary institutional copyright risk with plagiarism, simulated viewpoint and the exposure of data. This urges the society to regulate the development behavior of technology companies through legislation, and requires third-party supervision and local area networks to ensure security. [Results/Conclusions] On the basis of saving human resources and management costs, ChatGPT accelerates the optimization of traditional library services, improving service quality and efficiency. It may facilitate the transfer and reorganization of traditional library services, but this does not necessarily lead to the end of the library industry. On the contrary, it makes possible for the library industry to return to the knowledge service with the blessing of new technologies. It is inevitable to consolidate divisions, streamline personnel and rebuild teams, but the process may not be perceptible or even dramatic. The service standards and evaluation system of the library industry change from borrowing and returning books, click rate and pageview to the depth and efficiency of teaching and scientific research participation. Knowledge service becomes clear and conscious. The threat of digital books and electronic reading has been greatly reduced, making it easier for the library industry to confirm its position in the social and historical development.

[Purpose/Significance] Ethnography is a rigorous field of study that is favored by researchers in the field of library and information science (LIS) due to its ability to obtain valuable first-hand data. Some LIS scholars have recognized the significance of using ethnography as a research method, and it is necessary to review the application and development of ethnography in LIS research. [Method/Process] This paper collected data from CNKI and Web of Science Core Collection. By searching and screening data, a total of 69 empirical research articles (written in both Chinese and English) that utilized ethnography as a methodology in LIS field were identified. Subsequently, this paper used content analysis to systematically review the application scenarios, methodological expansions, application paths, and misuses of ethnography in LIS research. [Results/Conclusions] Ethnography can be applied to various application scenarios in LIS research. It is commonly used to address research questions in six research topics: information behavior, library construction and development, information society issues, knowledge management, information literacy, and fundamental theories and discipline construction. The research subjects encompass a broader range of information and data users. For example, information service designers and providers in libraries, intelligence agencies, information and data centers, Internet companies, government agencies, as well as socially marginalized and information-poor groups are all potential subjects that ethnography can describe. Most research typically involves fieldwork lasting six months or more. Both interview and participant observation are not only the most commonly used independent investigative methods in ethnographic research but also frequently employed in combination as a mixed-method approach. With the application and development of ethnographic approaches, new ethnographic types suitable for different contexts and paradigms have emerged, including autoethnography, netnography, visual ethnography, and institutional ethnography. Among them, autoethnography emphasizes reflexivity, netnography is suitable for new fields based on the network, visual ethnography responds to the demand for sensory-oriented research, and institutional ethnography focuses on addressing inequalities faced by marginalized groups. Autoethnography and netnography have become new types of ethnography that LIS scholars prefer to adopt. In specific applications, different research topics tend to use different types of ethnography. This paper not only reviews the application trends of new ethnographic types in difference research topics but also compares the differences between new types of ethnography and traditional ethnography in the practical applications. The aim is to provide application paths for applying ethnography to different research topics. Additionally, this paper also points out the misuses of ethnography in terminology usage, investigation duration, and data authenticity, aiming to enhance the understanding of ethnographic methodology by relevant scholars and promote the application and development of ethnography in LIS research.

WANG Xing, LI Yeye, ZHOU Tianyu, LIU Feng
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (9): 43-56.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0691
    Abstract133)      PDF(pc) (3126KB)(160)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The introduction of national poverty alleviation policies and rural revitalization strategies has thrust the issue of education for left-behind children into the spotlight of scholarly attention. Education, far beyond serving as a mere instrument for personal growth and human capital accumulation for left-behind children, emerges as a pivotal measure in consolidating rural poverty alleviation endeavors and breaking the transmission of intergenerational poverty in China. It stands as a vital force propelling the future of rural revitalization. Yet, the existing literature on the education of left-behind children remains sporadic and dispersed. A more profound organizational effort, integrating, synthesizing, and evaluating this scattered literature, is imperative to establish a foundational framework for future research, fostering more cohesive and focused research endeavors. Presently, literature review studies primarily fall into three categories: qualitative review methods, meta-analysis, and bibliometric analysis methods employing tools like Citespace. This study sets out to achieve a systematic and comprehensive understanding of education-related issues for rural left-behind children through text mining methods grounded in topic models. [Method/Process] The advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies has empowered the processing and analysis of vast amounts of textual data. Previous research, employing latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) topic models, successfully mined texts related to teacher team construction reform policies, internationalization in higher education literature, news reports, and online comments. In this study, a corpus was meticulously constructed using abstract texts extracted from 2037 journal articles published between 2002 and 2023. The structural topic model (STM) was chosen for topic modeling, overcoming the limitations associated with LDA, with a specific emphasis on exploring the diversity and dynamism of topics within the existing literature. [Results/Conclusions] The culmination of this research effort identified eight distinct research themes: psychological well-being, factors leading to left-behind children, macro-level coping strategies, types of guardianship, review studies, family education, media literacy, and micro-level coping strategies. By synergizing document metadata information, the study systematically unraveled the evolving trends of these topics over time, providing crucial insights into potential shifts in the focus of left-behind children's education research. It is essential to note that this study, while collecting abstracts instead of full texts, may not capture the entirety of information contained in complete research articles. Future research endeavors should explore left-behind children's education more comprehensively, leveraging full-text mining techniques for a more nuanced understanding of this critical subject.

Research of the Impact of LLMs on Information Retrieval Systems and Users' Information Retrieval Behavior
    GUO Pengrui, WEN Tingxiao
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (11): 13-22.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0573
    Abstract116)      PDF(pc) (970KB)(138)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This article is aimed to explore the impact of artificial intelligence generation technologies such as large language models (LLMs) on users' information retrieval behavior and to suggest ideas for information retrieval systems and information resource construction. In this way, it provides insights into and references for the future establishment of the artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) information platform with Chinese characteristics as well as the information literacy education system. [Method/Process] In the field of library intelligence, with the wide application of AI technology in information service work, LLMs represented by ChatGPT have also become a hot topic of discussion. Taking the booming development of LLMs such as ChatGPT as background, we analyzed the impact of the increasing popularity of this technology on information retrieval systems and user retrieval behavior from the perspective of user information behavior by combining the technical features of LLMs with the characteristics of existing products. Literature survey and empirical analysis were used. [Results/Conclusions] The use of LLMs as information retrieval systems has unparalleled advantages over traditional products. These advantages include the ability to understand and process natural language queries, generate relevant and context-specific responses, and interact with users in a more human-like way. The application of LLMs in information retrieval systems has the potential to transform the way users search for information, influence the underlying logic, action priorities, and retrieval expectations of user information retrieval behavior. However, the existing shortcomings of LLMs in terms of reliability and accuracy still make it difficult for them to replace traditional information retrieval methods immediately. Language models may not always provide accurate and reliable answers, especially when dealing with complex or domain-specific queries. Additionally, LLMs may struggle to understand and process contextual information effectively, leading to limitations in their ability to extract relevant and context-aware insights. It is recommended to pay attention to this technology in the construction of information retrieval systems and information resources, and to explore the combination of LLMs and information services in order to cope with the changes in future user information needs and to further make full use of the value of existing information resources. Limited by the lack of expertise in the field of AI and the fact that LLMs are not yet widely used in practice in China, the research findings are only a reflection and exploration of the impact of LLMs on users' information behavior.

XU Kuiyi, LU Keqi, LU Hejian
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (7): 85-93.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0323
    Abstract70)      PDF(pc) (1010KB)(125)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] As an important member of cultural memory institutions, public libraries shoulder the responsibility of protecting human cultural heritage and passing on civilization. It plays a pivotal role in the inheritance and development of cultural heritage. The active participation of public libraries will be conducive to the preservation of resources and presentation of cultural heritage, thus promoting the value reproduction of cultural heritage. This article studies the strategy for promoting China's public libraries' participation in cultural heritage, and from the perspective of ancient books preservation, it can provide reference for public libraries' participation in cultural heritage and promote the better development and utilization of cultural heritage. [Method/Process] In order to understand the concept of "cultural heritage" and the importance of public libraries in the protection of cultural heritage, this paper examined relevant policies and laws, and analyzed the necessity and feasibility of public libraries' participation in the transmission of cultural heritage in detail. At the same time, it studied the current situation of public libraries' participation in the theoretical research and practice of cultural heritage. The three cases selected in this paper, National Library, Shanghai Library and Suzhou Library, are all important units in the protection and restoration of ancient books in China, and have leadership and representativeness in the organization and application of ancient books in their collections and the innovation of digitalized ancient book services. This study focuses on three aspects: protection of ancient books and restoration projects, development and utilization of ancient books, and innovative services of digitalized ancient books through literature review and case study. Through comparative analysis, the means and shortcomings of ancient books' protection are comprehensively analyzed. [Results/Conclusions] There are several problems in the protection of ancient books in public libraries in China: the digital versions of ancient book resources are presented in a single way; the audience of ancient books is not large; and motivation for the promotion and display of ancient books is not strong enough. Suggestions are provided for promoting public librarie's participating in cultural heritage: providing more characteristic resource services and building characteristic resource databases; collaborating with other cultural institutions to develop digital humanities' platforms for cultural heritage; actively applying for cultural projects while cultivating professionals; strengthening the teaching of skills to protect cultural heritage in a wider scope; carrying out a series of activities to stimulate the public interest; strengthening the promotion and marketing of cultural heritage to create a cultural heritage brand. Admittedly, this paper still has the problem that the case study is not comprehensive enough, and it is expected that more in-depth research and analysis can be carried out in the future.

[Purpose/Significance] As human beings enter an information-intensive society, massive information extensively and profoundly affects and changes people's lives, and gradually causes social problems such as information rumors and information redundancy. The Internet, as the primary channel for people to obtain information, has become the hardest hit area of information problems. Online health information has a wide range of sources and complex topics, due to its uneven quality, it is difficult for users to distinguish between true and false information, which brings great challenges to people, especially middle-aged and elderly people, in obtaining, selecting and using health information. [Methods/Process] The questionnaire survey method was used to explore the characteristics of health information needs and actual behavior interaction of middle-aged and elderly people from the cognitive perspective and the behavioral perspective, respectively. The questionnaire was conducted in two stages. In the first stage, participants were asked to answer an open-ended question, "What characteristics do you think meet your standard of good health information?" in order to collect the desired health information needs of the subjects. Then, we used the grounded theory analysis method to analyze the text of the subjects' answers to form a unified TSCA ideal health information feature framework. The second round of questionnaire survey was conducted on the basis of the first round of investigation and research, and we designed relevant questions to collect the information of subjects' actual health behavior information according to the established TSCA ideal health information feature framework. [Results/Conclusions] There are four features regarding middle-aged and elderly people's needs for desired health information: information topic, information source, information content and document attribute, that is, we construct the TSCA ideal health information feature framework for middle-aged and elderly people. In the process of actual interaction with health information, middle-aged and elderly people use various information topics and sources, but rarely obtain and use information from professional health sources. The study also found that it is necessary to strengthen the scaffolding role of document attribute in the process of actual interaction with health information among middle-aged and elderly people. In addition, two modes are discovered with regard to the desired health information needs of middle-aged and elderly people: topic and source oriented (TS) and content and attribute oriented (CA), but the desired health information needs are not consistent with the actual behavior of middle-aged and elderly people. The discovery of this difference will help to serve the design of the current health information environment and optimize the development of health information literacy education and training for middle-aged and elderly people from the perspective of information characterization.

    CHEN Yuanyuan, WANG Lei
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (6): 72-82.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0419
    Abstract96)      PDF(pc) (1386KB)(114)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Think tank reports are professional analysis and policy recommendations provided by independent research institutions, which provide decision support and an important tool for policy makers and the public to promote social progress. The purpose of think tank report summary is to provide readers with a concise and clear overview, so that they can quickly understand the main content and conclusion of the report, so as to improve the efficiency of information screening, dissemination effect and knowledge transfer. At present, there are many differences in the think tank reports, which leads to inaccurate summaries. It is urgent to improve the existing text summarization methods. This paper focuses on the characteristics of think tank reports in the context of multi-topic text summarization technology. [Method/Process] Aiming at the problem that the existing models have poor effect on the summarization of think tank reports, not only the crawler technology was used to construct a think tank report dataset, but also a report summarization method was proposed using the "combined keywords" search method.. First, a keyword extraction algorithm was used to extract the keyword information in the original text. Second, a "combined keywords" search module based on cross-attention mechanism was used to improve the model's ability to capture the topic information in the text and help improve the accuracy of the summary generated by the model. Finally, in order to avoid excessive attention to keywords while ignoring the overall information of a think tank report, a contrastive learning training method was designed in the training process. [Results/Conclusions] The experimental results show that the Rouge-1, Rouge-2 and Rouge-L values of the think tank report summarization model reached 48.23, 32.55 and 42.50, respectively. The summarization model with the "combined keywords" search method proposed in this study can effectively solve the problem of inaccurate summarization caused by multi-topic texts, and the text summarization effect of the model in the field of think tank reports is better than other similar models. In addition, ablation experiments were used to prove the effectiveness of the "combined keywords" search module and contrastive learning training. There are still some shortcomings of this paper. For example, this study does not explore the location and frequency information of keywords. In addition, we will adjust the weight of keywords according to their position, frequency and importance in the text, and further expand the think tank report summary dataset.

    WANG Chao, KONG Xianghui
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (6): 51-59.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0288
    Abstract144)      PDF(pc) (1193KB)(112)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Taking the popular "chat robot" ChatGPT and the recently launched similar product "iFLYTEK Spark" as the research object, this paper explores their applications in the identification of online health information, and discusses their advantages and disadvantages, in order to provide reference for the large-scale pre-training language model in the field of health information identification. Based on the review of relevant literature on online health information authentication, deep learning models have been widely applied in the task of online health information authentication in recent years. With the rapid development of large pre-training language models such as ChatGPT, it is a novel idea to explore their discriminating ability in online health information. [Method/Process] Researchers selected health-related information from the most authoritative rumor-refuting websites in China, used "ChatGPT" and "iFLYTEK Spark" to verify the authenticity of the online health information, evaluated their performance, and compared their identification results with the expert identification results. The identification accuracy of ChatGPT and iFLYTEK Spark language model was 93.9% and 92.9%, respectively, and the F1 value was 0.951 and 0.946, respectively, which had a good application effect. The generated explanatory texts were more detailed and the language was relatively smooth. In terms of the length and dispersion of the explanatory text, ChatGPT is closer to that of medical experts, while iFLYTEK Spark's explanatory text is relatively long and less discrete. In terms of semantic similarity, ChatGPT and iFLYTEK Spark were almost equal in performance, and their understanding of health information was close to that of human experts to some extent. Through the analysis of typical samples, it can be seen that an AI large model cannot accurately identify news or emergency information for the time being, and the understanding of individual health propositions with complex semantics will occasionally be biased. [Results/Conclusions] The experimental results show that ChatGPT and iFLYTEK Spark have good discriminative effect in the field of online health information identification, but there are shortcomings, and manual intervention is needed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results. In the future, in the field of AI large model research, researchers are suggested to attach importance to the construction and application of high-quality corpora in vertical fields. In the field of online health information identification, practitioners can use models such as ChatGPT as tools to help identify and refine health information. There are also limitations in this article. For example, the amount of data involved in the test is not large enough, ChatGPT uses GPT3.5 model, and the online application time of iFLYTEK Spark language model is relatively short. In future studies, the amount of online health information can be further increased, and the updated version of an AI large model can be tested and evaluated.

The Challenge of Artificial Intelligence Scientists to the Epistemology of Science
    DUAN Weiwen
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (11): 4-12.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0849
    Abstract65)      PDF(pc) (948KB)(97)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This study aims to explore the challenges that artificially intelligent (AI) scientists may bring to scientific epistemology. [Method/Process] Scientific discovery has long been of interest to AI researchers. The next big step in AI is the development of AI scientists. AI scientists should be able to independently motivate, make, understand, and communicate discoveries. Although the current robot scientists are still just a form of AI-driven automated experimental apparatus, and the best AI systems today cannot define their own hypothesis space and experimental design. At best, they can be considered to be a primitive form of AI scientists. Clearly, the specific path of AI-driven scientific research or the transition to AI scientists will inevitably be influenced by the frontier development of AI. Current AI systems must overcome the following major technical challenges: 1) making strategic choices in their research goals; 2) developing the ability to generate exciting and novel hypotheses in areas that push boundaries; 3) designing innovative approaches and experiments to test hypotheses that go beyond the use of prototype experiments; 4) focusing on and describing important discoveries in a way that can be understood by human scientists. The highly autonomous AI scientists can either make discoveries on their own or collaborate with other human and machine scientists to make Nobel-level discoveries. After reviewing the relevant AI applications in scientific research, this study illustrates the main characteristics of AI scientists and the two disruptive changes they bring about at the epistemological level: a leap in AI capabilities and AI for Science as the 5th paradigm of scientific research. [Results/Conclusions] The implications of AI for Science are revolutionary, but recent AI-driven explorations in scientific research increasingly support the possibility of its realization. In this situation, discussions on the epistemological issues of relevant sciences need to go beyond general philosophical debates and instead explore epistemological strategies for the coming scientific revolution in AI. In view of the coming scientific revolution in AI, this study proposes four strategies. First, we should pay more attention to the problems and solutions in the process of developing AI scientists. Second, the key to advancing the scientific revolution in AI is to find ways to eliminate factors that may lead to failure. Then, we use different strategies to achieve the scientific revolution of AI. Finally, we take advantage of metaphorical methods to help us develop AI scientists.

Causes and Influence Paths of Digital Stress among Social Media Users
JIANG Zhihui, LI Xuan, CAO Gaohui
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (11): 64-76.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0780
    Abstract66)      PDF(pc) (1204KB)(91)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] With the development of the Internet and the popularization of smart devices, the scale of social media users around the world is increasing, and social media has become the center of people's communication, but it also produces a series of negative problems. Digital stress refers to the painful subjective experience of users caused by different stressors in the process of heavy use of social media. At present, most studies on social media focus on users' social media behaviors. In recent years, digital stress has gradually attracted the attention of researchers. However, most studies discuss the impact of single variables on results from the perspective of linear regression, and few studies focus on the complex mechanism behind digital stress. This study aims to explore the influencing factors and mechanism of social media users' digital stress in order to further understand the path of digital stress and provide reference for relieving users' digital stress. [Method/Process] This paper adopted a mixed research method combining grounded theory and qualitative comparative analysis. First, 21 users were selected as interview objects, interview data were coded, and theoretical models were constructed. Second, a questionnaire was designed according to the theoretical model and 262 questionnaires were collected. The fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method was used to analyze the questionnaire data and explore the formation path of social media users' digital stress. [Results/Conclusions] There were 9 influencing factors of social media users' digital stress: overuse, technology intrusion, information overload, communication load, fear of missing out, approval anxiety, social expectation, digital coping skills and self-control. They were classified into four dimensions: technology, social, environment and personal characteristics. There are six paths that trigger digital stress, among which overuse and fear of missing out are the key factors leading to high-level digital stress, technology intrusion and information overload are the important conditions for digital stress, and digital coping skills and self-control have no significant effects. At the same time, this paper has some limitations. First, the end point and result variable of this paper is the digital pressure of social media users, focusing on the factors that affect the generation of digital pressure and how the combination of factors and variables ultimately leads to the generation of results. Less attention is paid to user behavior. Although some attention is paid in the interview, antecedent variables are emphasized in the analysis. Future studies can take users' social media usage behavior into consideration to explore the whole process formation mechanism of influencing factors-digital pressure-user behavior. In addition, most of the research samples are young users of social media, and users of other age groups are less involved. In the future, the research samples should be further expanded to improve the universality of the research conclusions.

A Framework of Ethics Guidelines on Public Data from a Whole Life Cycle Perspective
MA Haiqun, LI Jinling, YU Tongtong, ZHANG Tao
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (6): 29-42.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0447
    Abstract84)      PDF(pc) (1331KB)(86)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] As a basic national strategic resource, public data plays an important role in promoting high-quality economic development, enhancing social governance, and improving government service levels. The construction of an ethics framework helps participants in public data circulation such as public data producers, managers, users, and supervisors to establish an awareness of data security and ethics and regulate their behavior before public data circulation, avoiding public data ethics issues such as privacy breaches, excessive data collection, data abuse, and digital gap. [Method/Process] Based on previous studies and existing public data policies, this study summarizes the definition of public data according to legal logic and the principle of maximization and describes the differences between public data and government data in terms of data subject, data openness, and data profitability as its characteristics. Then, combined with the typical data life cycle model, the cyclic hierarchy model of the public data life cycle was constructed. In addition, by comparing the principles of public data ethics and the principles of digital technology ethics, the focus of the principles of public data ethics was analyzed, and the principles of public data ethics were summarized from the perspectives of respect, security, and equality. Finally, taking the principles of public data ethics as the criterion and the six general stages and 17 sub-stages of the public data lifecycle model as the first and second-level indicators, the ethical risks of public data at each stage were analyzed. By referring to the research at all stages of the public data lifecycle, academic achievements of domestic and international data ethics principles, provincial public data regulations, and ethical rules were listed for participants to manage their behaviors given these risks at each stage and to build a framework of public data ethics. [Results/Conclusions] This framework helps public data participants to regulate their actions, and implement prior ethical responsibilities to anticipate, avoid, and mitigate public data ethical risks before they occur throughout the life cycle. The shortcoming of this framework is that its applicability and practicability need to be tested, which is also the direction of our next research work, so as to make the framework more accurate and practical and put it into use. Additionally, it can provide references and opportunities for scholars involved in public management and services on public data ethics to stimulate the value of public data elements, promote the digitization process of public management and services, and help achieve social equity, solve disputes, and gain sustainable development.

Embedded Information Literacy Instruction Based on the General-Purpose Writing Course for Undergraduate Freshmen: A Case Study of the Library of Southern University of Science and Technology
ZHANG Yixi, YANG Li, HUANG Feiyan
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 98-107.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0533
    Abstract66)      PDF(pc) (1452KB)(83)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The collaboration between the instructor of a general-purpose course "Writing and Communication" and information literacy (IL) librarian teachers at Southern University of Science and Technology provides a new embedded teaching cooperation scheme for an undergraduate writing course. This new model can help college academic librarians design more active ways to teach embedded IL class in general-purpose writing courses for freshmen and sophomores against the background of cultivating "top innovative professionals". [Method/Process] Based on the teaching collaboration between the librarians and the instructors in the past five years, we explored and analyzed effective and integrated teaching models of embedded IL education. Focusing on assessment and student's learning outcome, we constructed an embedded IL teaching evaluation model to comprehensively evaluate student's learning outcome, which includes both direct and indirect evaluation. The direct assessment includes five evaluation indicators: information awareness, information inquiry and access, information evaluation, information management and utilization, and information regulation and security. The indirect evaluation is a "librarian-writing instructor" dual assessment based on students' course papers, in which the librarian and the writing instructor rate students' IL skills and writing skills independently and then compare the assessment results. The librarian scrutinizes students' work under the rubric of search strategy, resource selection and reference standardization; and the writing instructor examines the critical thinking, essay structure and writing style of students' papers. The comparison of the scores on writing and information use of students' papers provide quantitative evaluation on the correlation of students' writing and information skills. [Results/Conclusions] There is a positive correlation between IL and writing performance. College freshmen differ from senior students in IL competence in many ways due to their lack of information training and of limited exposure to various academic scenarios. Thus, besides teaching basic searching skills, instructors should also help students build up information awareness and competence by situating IL teaching in specific writing tasks in an integrated teaching model. By collaborating with writing instructors, the embedded information session is more contextualized, and therefore a "process-based" IL development can be demonstrated to students. Other new pedagogical approaches such as flipped classroom also help to enhance teaching and learning.

A Study on the Knowledge-Based Description Framework and Application Scenarios of Ancient Chinese Map Documents in the Digital Intelligence Era
ZHANG Xingwang, DUAN Xuechun, XIN Jie
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (9): 4-11.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0804
    Abstract63)      PDF(pc) (2791KB)(83)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Ancient map literature is an important component of Chinese ancient literature, which is the subjective cognition, expression, exploration, and recording of the objective environment by ancient ancestors. It mainly uses map language such as symbols, text, graphics, and lines to depict simple geographical spatial information locally on physical carriers such as clay tablets, stone tablets, woodcuts, silk, and paper. It records and carries the glorious process of civilization continuation and cultural inheritance in China for thousands of years. How to better do a good job in its digital protection and development and utilization is an important issue worth paying attention to in the current field of information resource management. [Method/Process] On the basis of a brief exposition of the cultural connotations and important values of ancient map literature, this article briefly summarizes the current status of its digital research, and then designs and proposes a knowledge-based description framework for ancient map literature in China in the digital age. This framework clarifies the key modules of resource entities, description objects, knowledge abstraction, map expression, map display, etc. of ancient map literature, and analyzes the relevant key modules separately, Finally, taking the "Wanli Coastal Defense Map" drawn in Volume 8 of Zheng Kaiyang's Miscellaneous Works as an example, typical application scenarios such as automatic question and answer services for ancient map literature knowledge, intelligent construction services for the South China Sea rights protection evidence chain, and interactive narrative services for ancient map literature were explored. [Results/Conclusions] Chinese ancient maps and texts showcase the expression and cognition of ancient Chinese ancestors towards the real physical world and geographical space through methods such as landscape painting, six body drawing, planning, and triangulation. They not only carry the excellent genes of China's thousands of years of Chinese civilization and excellent traditional culture, but also serve as important carriers for telling Chinese stories, spreading Chinese spirit, and showcasing China's image; The intervention of mathematical theory and technology has expanded the object space of ancient maps from traditional binary space to a diverse space composed of geographic space, cultural space, information space, and technological space; The knowledge-based description of ancient map literature in the era of digital intelligence requires a comprehensive understanding of all entities, elements, and knowledge related to it, achieving cross domain knowledge organization and integration centered on its geographic spatial information (such as place names, divisions, and locations), involving the identification, extraction, analysis, organization, association, positioning, and transformation of relevant contextual information. This makes the universality of this theoretical framework still need to be strengthened, In the future, it is necessary to continuously expand the existing theoretical and technical framework to meet the knowledge-based description needs of different types of ancient map literature.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 43-54.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0500
    Abstract82)      PDF(pc) (1372KB)(72)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] This study aims to complement the shortcomings existing in the current research, such as the limited research on the micro-level of enabling rural revitalization and the unclear impact of knowledge services on rural revitalization, in order to strengthen the understanding of the mechanism and path of enabling rural revitalization by agricultural intelligent knowledge services, and to provide theoretical reference and practical solutions for better enabling rural revitalization by the knowledge services and better developing agricultural intelligent knowledge services. [Method/Process] This paper first reviews the literature to understand the current research status of enabling rural revitalization and knowledge services affecting rural revitalization, and then determines the research focus. Based on the three perspectives of data, application and service, this paper explores the enabling basis of agricultural intelligent knowledge services, analyzes the enabling mechanism from the three aspects of agricultural production, farmer life and rural governance, clarifies the necessity and possibility of agricultural intelligent knowledge services enabling rural revitalization, and constructs the internal mechanism of the knowledge services enabling rural revitalization. Moreover, the predicament of agricultural intelligent knowledge services enabling rural revitalization is analyzed from the internal and external aspects, and the performance and impact of these dilemmas are analyzed. Finally, according to the analysis results, the optimization path is proposed from the three dimensions of enabling demand, scene and effect to alleviate the problem. [Results/Conclusions] Agricultural knowledge services have entered the intelligent stage, presenting the characteristics of intelligence, personalization and precision, and have established a good foundation for enabling rural revitalization in terms of data, application and service. By enabling the development of new production modes, the transformation of farmers' multiple identities, and the equal participation of multiple subjects in governance, digital intelligence momentum will be injected into the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization. However, from the internal perspective of agricultural intelligent knowledge services, there are some shortcomings such as obvious user group bias and the lack of service content. From the external point of view of the knowledge services, there are the challenges of unbalanced infrastructure and low user literacy. These deficiencies and challenges limit the enabling role of agricultural intelligent knowledge services in rural revitalization, which will limit the maximum play of the enabling effects. Accordingly, this paper provides the corresponding solution. First, in-depth research could be carried out on rural revitalization stakeholders and strategic content to clarify the empowerment needs. Second, integrated service platform could be built to integrate and empower scenarios. Third, the promotion model could be constructed to enhance the enabling effect to alleviate the empowerment dilemma.

[Purpose/Significance] With the rapid development and widespread application of the Internet, artificial intelligence, information technology, and other technologies, China's education informatization is currently in a critical period of integration and innovation combining digital technology and education. The deep integration of intelligent technology and education has brought diversified changes to education. The Education 4.0 concept, which emphasizes personalized education and innovative teaching with students as the main focus, has emerged. The Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education of China proposed in its 2023 key work points, it is required to explore and promote the pilot of the "Future Learning Center", leverage the advantages of university libraries, integrate various learning resources in the school, utilize new generation information technology, and create a new grassroot learning organization that supports the transformation of learning methods. According to the development trend of the new paradigm of education in the new era, university libraries should construct diversified ecological spaces and learning scenarios through literature resource integration, spatial process reengineering, intelligent technology application, and learning support services. [Method/Process] By conducting targeted literature analysis, conducting research on university libraries, and paying attention to industry seminars, the current research status and construction progress of future learning centers in China are summarized. The changes in learning space, teacher roles, course content, learning methods, and evaluation systems of future learning centers under the development trend of Education 4.0 are analyzed, Summarize the basic characteristics that future learning centers should present after achieving seamless integration between knowledge, resources, users, and scenarios. Based on the service functions of university libraries in learning, academia, culture, innovation, etc., focus on exploring the construction and service paths of spaces such as self-learning support space, education and teaching support space, digital academic support space, and creative creation support space, the goal is to create a diversified learning ecosystem that integrates reading, teaching, experience, participation, exploration, collaboration, and creation. [Results/Conclusions] The future learning center will become an important opportunity for university libraries to transform from a resource center to a learning center. However, the construction of future learning centers is not standardized or exemplary. Each school must "put people first", investigate and analyze the user needs, behavioral habits, subject characteristics, and school situation of its teachers and students, balance user needs and library situation, and highlight key points and characteristics. At the same time, university libraries need to cooperate with colleges and departments to jointly build, coordinate the technology and strength of the entire school, integrate and share resources, collaborate and use technology, cross integrate disciplines, and exchange and recognize evaluation systems. University libraries aim to create a new campus learning ecosystem through the construction of future learning centers, providing readers with personalized learning services, intelligent learning environments, precise learning platforms, and innovative learning ecosystems, and achieving the educational goals of students' autonomous learning, intelligent learning, and lifelong learning.

[Purpose/Significance] Reading promotion has been a basic and normalized activity in libraries, and has been carried out for many years. Although it has achieved remarkable results in promoting the dissemination of knowledge and culture, it has reached a developmental bottleneck that urgently requires innovative breakthroughs. The introduction and application of artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) technology can innovate the content and form of the library work, and promote the connotative development of library services. Currently, there is limited research on the application of AIGC in library reading promotion, with most studies focusing on theoretical discussions of work scenarios rather than practical applications. The aim of this article is to explore new technology applications in new scenarios to help solve common problems in the field. [Method/Process] Through literature research and case analysis, based on the characteristics of AIGC content, we look forward to AIGC empowering library reading promotion scenarios, including inspiring activity creativity, and enriching work forms; creating reading IP, and forming work brands; promoting in-depth and professional reading, and optimizing work content; strengthening service management, and promoting the construction of work evaluation standards. Taking the "New Book Recommendation" activity as an example, we analyze work application elements such as planning, promotion, organization, and evaluation, and construct a work model suitable for the scenario. [Results/Conclusions] Although AIGC has great potential and broad prospects for application in library reading promotion, it faces many application challenges, such as the need for a change in librarians' work mindset, issues of data privacy and ethics, and the quality and accuracy of generated content. This paper discusses the application paths of AIGC in library reading promotion, including strengthening skills training to comprehensively enhance librarians' new literacy in the AI era; exploiting the role of "AI prompter" to deepen reading services; building a rich database of event data corpora to ensure digital content generation; and improving rules for content review and quality control. Compared to other information resource management tasks, such as reference consulting and academic services, the impact of AIGC is relatively mild. AIGC is applied as a tool for reading promotion, with librarians remaining the primary actors, and the implementation of work elements is still carried out within the existing work framework. The discussion of AIGC applications in library reading promotion practice in this paper offers methodological insights for library reading promotion, with scenario elaboration, model construction, and path generation facilitating the realization and broad application of these related services. The limitation of this study, however, is the lack of concrete data on the effectiveness of the work discussed, which requires further research.

    WU Yiwei, WEN Tingxiao
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 30-42.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0461
    Abstract73)      PDF(pc) (1601KB)(66)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] At present, studies on online health information search at home and abroad mainly focus on the analysis of influencing factors of online health information search, the analysis of characteristics of online health information search, and the analysis of the action path between online health information search and health anxiety, etc. Few scholars focus their research objects and perspectives on offline medical treatment behavior. Moreover, there is insufficient research on the effects and mechanism of online health information search on offline medical treatment behavior. This paper aims to analyze the characteristics of public online health information search and explore the factors that affect public online health information search on offline medical care seeking behavior. [Method/Process] Based on the S-O-R theory, this paper proposed relevant hypotheses and constructed a correlation model between online health information search and offline medical care seeking behavior. Taking college students as the main research object, based on the maturity scale of domestic and foreign authorities, four variables of online health information search, risk perception, physical alertness and offline medical treatment behavior and 13 operable observation variables were designed. SPSS25.0 software was used to conduct reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis and factor analysis of 204 valid questionnaires collected. Amos25.0 software was used to construct a structural equation model to verify the hypothesis and the Bootstrap method was used to test the mediation effect. [Results/Conclusions] The research findings: 1) public online health information search significantly affects offline medical seeking behavior; 2) public online health information search significantly affects risk perception; 3) public physical alertness significantly affects offline medical care seeking behavior; 4) risk perception and body alertness mediate between public online health information search and offline medical care seeking behavior. Based on the study conclusions and the results of interviews with some surveyors, two suggestions have been put forward. On the one hand, it is necessary to collect online resources, drive offline traffic, and help the growth of the offline medical market. On the other hand, it is necessary to build a health index, establish a nationally unified and credible evaluation index system for the health of urban residents, index evaluation of residents' health status, and predict disease manifestations. Most of the subjects in this study are college students, and the questionnaire distribution scope is limited, so the research results are not representative enough. Additionally, the scope of the research object will be further expanded to include the middle-aged and senior subjects to enhance the persuasiveness of the research conclusions.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (6): 93-102.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0055
    Abstract102)      PDF(pc) (3661KB)(66)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] At the moment of library transformation, using new information technology to solve the difficulties in traditional business and optimizing the reader experience is one of the research contents of smart libraries. We use the cloud edge system technology to design and implement the Shanghai Library mobile phone book lending system, which turns readers' mobile phones into dispersed self-help book lending devices, which is a successful attempt to grafting new technology into traditional library services to solve the difficulties in traditional services and optimize readers' experience. [Method/Process] In this paper, the technology of edge collaboration is applied to the library self-service loan business. First, starting from the problems faced by RFID self-service loan and return equipment in the public library, the prototype system is determined to change readers' mobile phones into self-service book borrowing equipment for readers, so readers do not need to use fixed loan and return machine, or queue up at rush hour. Centering on reader experience, data security and replication and promotion of new services are regarded as the design objectives of the system, to explore the integration of cloud-edge collaborative technology into the system to meet the design objectives (the characteristics of the system users, system performance and the scalability and stability of the system). According to the preset performance indicators, the paper provides detailed analysis and technology selection of the system, with an introduction of what we considered and why we chose the application of the system. Finally we achieve the purpose of reducing cost and increasing efficiency and improving readers' experience. [Results/Conclusions] Out one month after the system went online, about 12,640 books were lent out by mobile mobile phone book lending system, accounting for 10% of the total circulation. Most of them were young readers (ranging from 18 to 50 years old), which showed that the system met the design expectation and reduced the demand for self-service book lending machines in libraries to a certain extent. Through the official launch of the mobile phone borrowing system, the feasibility of the application of cloud edge collaboration technology in the library is verified. Cloud edge collaboration can meet the application scenarios of multiple branch libraries, and has better scalability and stability in the promotion and replication of services. It is better than the traditional system architecture. At the same time, it really reduces the purchase demand of the East Library of Shanghai Library for the self-service borrowing machine.

CHEN Caiming, FENG Jianzhong, BAI Linyan, WANG Jian, XIE Nengfu, ZOU Jun
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 66-77.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0300
    Abstract48)      PDF(pc) (10208KB)(64)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] In the era of big data, the volume of data is growing at an exponential rate. One of the most prominent areas affected by this growth is the field of agriculture. The use of agricultural knowledge graphs, which serve as key infrastructures for managing agricultural knowledge, has expanded significantly. However, as the number of nodes and relationships within these graphs increase, so too does their complexity. This complexity gives rise to new challenges in training and representing such large-scale knowledge graphs. It is therefore of great significance to investigate methods for speeding up the embedding process of agricultural knowledge graphs, while preserving their structural integrity and minimizing resource consumption. This research embarks on a novel exploration to address this issue. It stands out from previous studies by concentrating on a hierarchical representation model for agricultural knowledge graphs. The potential impacts of this research on propelling the advancement of the field and on addressing significant real-world problems are substantial. [Method/Process] To confront this challenge, we propose a hierarchical representation model for agricultural knowledge graphs rooted in the HARP framework. Our model leverages the inherent hierarchical features of the agricultural knowledge graph. It incorporates an improved random walk strategy based on relational paths to semantically model relationship objects within the agricultural knowledge graph. This innovative approach effectively retains the hierarchy and asymmetrical relationship structure of the nodes in the graph, setting our work apart from previous research. The validity of our proposed model is fortified by a strong foundation of theoretical and empirical evidence. [Results/Conclusions] Our experimental results reveal several key findings. First, the hierarchical random walk with path (HRWP) model using the LEIDEN algorithm can preserve the spatial structure more effectively and converge more quickly to the maximum modularity, in comparison to the HARP framework. Second, the fusion model employing HRWP takes less training time than the total training time of both models combined, without significantly affecting the time complexity of the original algorithm. Third, we observed that when traditional algorithms are integrated with HRWP, there is an average improvement of 2% across various indicators, with a substantial enhancement in non-neural network models. Therefore, our proposed model not only accurately represents the agricultural knowledge graph but also effectively reduces the training time. Despite the promising outcomes of our study, there remain areas of potential improvement. One such area is the need for a more detailed discussion on the hierarchical nature of relationship objects in future research. This provides potential avenues for future exploration in this field. The findings of this research carry profound implications for the development of agricultural knowledge management systems, offering an effective approach to handle the burgeoning complexity of knowledge graphs.

Effectiveness Evaluation of Rural Public Cultural Services under the Guidance of "People-Oriented": Taking Ecological Conservation Area of Beijing as an Example
FAN Beibei, LI Jin, FENG Xian
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (9): 80-90.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0505
    Abstract69)      PDF(pc) (1217KB)(57)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] "People-centered" is the basic principle of the construction of rural public cultural service system in the new period and the important criterion of efficiency evaluation. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with the continuous improvement of the rural public cultural service system framework and the continuous increase of the total supply, the relevant policies of rural public cultural services have begun to move toward the era of "high-quality", "high level" and "high quality" efficiency improvement. [Method/Process] Based on the policy and demand orientation, this paper constructed the evaluation index system of rural public cultural service effectiveness, and designed 17 specific indicators from 5 dimensions, such as awareness, participation, satisfaction, sense of cultural acquisition, and cultural happiness, and takes the Beijing ecological conservation area as a typical example to carry out the "people-centered" efficiency evaluation of rural public cultural service. [Results/Conclusions] At present, the average score of rural public cultural service efficiency in Beijing's ecological conservation area is 75.90 points, which is in the "medium" level, indicating that the overall efficiency level of rural public cultural service in Beijing's ecological conservation area still has a large room for improvement. The participation score is the lowest, and there is a large difference in the participation level and the sense of cultural acquisition level among groups, indicating that the efficiency level of rural public cultural services has a large room for improvement, and the construction is unbalanced. The ultimate goal of improving the efficiency of rural public cultural services guided by "people-oriented" is to build a rural public cultural service system with everyone's participation and shared by all, meet the new expectations of rural residents for a better spiritual and cultural life, and make public cultural services play a greater role in promoting the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. In the future, it is necessary to optimize the structure and layout of public cultural service facilities, promote the transformation of public cultural service products from universal to precise, build a multi-level and multi-channel public cultural supply mechanism, and deeply explore and innovate the excellent traditional local culture, so as to improve the efficiency level of rural public cultural services.

Open Source Software: A Study on the Copyright Licensing Investigation System of DMCA in the United States
    LYU Chen, JIANG Linjun
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (8): 78-87.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0457
    Abstract65)      PDF(pc) (1148KB)(52)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] The development of open-source software and its system in China is relatively slow compared with the United States. However, given the current development status and needs, it is urgent to establish a sound institutional mechanism to provide feasible solutions for the development and protection of open-source software, and leave sufficient space for addressing potential risks. [Method/Process] Comparative research methods were used to examine extraterritorial systems and reflect on the current situation in China. By examining the reasons for the emergence, and the controversies formulated of the copyright licensing investigation system in the United States, and analyzing the content of the system, it can be seen that the system aims to investigate potential infringement of open-source software, and strives to balance the development and protection of open-source software. On the contrary, there is a gap in China's legislation, and the legal status of open-source software copyright has not yet been established, let alone specific institutional provisions on the implementation subject and authority design. [Results/Conclusions] It is necessary to learn from the copyright licensing investigation system in the United States. Based on the actual situation in our country, we can establish the legal status of copyright protection for open-source software based on the lawsuit of intellectual property infringement in the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China, referring to the open-source software protection model established in the Welte v. D-Link case and Harald Welter v. SiteCom case in Germany, by clarifying the legal effect of open-source software, incorporating copyright protection, allowing infringement lawsuits, and stipulating the right to request information from the rights holder. In terms of specific institutional provisions, the subject of copyright licensing investigation rights can be temporarily determined as the copyright administrative department at or above the prefecture (city) level. After the development of relevant public welfare organizations such as the Open Source Foundation is mature, some or all of the powers may be delegated to third-party public welfare organizations according to the situation. Furthermore, the rationality and legality of the investigation and the application of qualified sponsors are taken as the premise of the investigation, the type of equipment under investigation is limited to the legally obtained equipment, the investigation of potential infringement of open source software is regarded as the only investigation object, and the proper handling and protection after the investigation is taken as the requirement to ensure the legitimacy of the investigation, in order to complete the authority design of the investigation subject, and the localization construction of the copyright licensing investigation system will be achieved in the end.

An Analysis on the Key Path of Enhancing the Value of Academic Libraries from the Perspective of Students
    LIU Jingyi
Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (11): 53-63.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0599
    Abstract60)      PDF(pc) (1329KB)(50)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] There is no shortage of discussions in the library industry on how the value of academic libraries can be reflected by affecting students' learning outcome. There are also excellent cases such as the "Value of Academic Libraries' Initiative", which have a great impact on the theoretical and practical research in the field, and have initially formed a research system. Due to the differences in the higher education systems of different countries and the focus of higher education talent cultivation goals in different eras, it is necessary to consider the actual situation and based on the construction background of "double first-class" university construction to explore the paths and countermeasures that are in line with the development strategy of higher education in the new era of Chinese academic libraries. Scientific measurement and evaluation of academic library services from the student-oriented perspective is an important way to clarify the key path of library value enhancement, which is helpful for libraries to optimize their services, improve their development framework and enhance their own value. [Process/Method] In view of the above background and related research deficiencies, this research focuses on how academic libraries can improve their own value in the new era to better serve the strategic development of universities, and become the core of value for various stakeholders to discuss. Meanwhile, the methods used in related research lack the in-depth analysis of the process of library influence. In order to systematically sort out the internal logic of library impact on students' learning outcome, it is essential to explore the role of process factors in it, and it is not enough to use only regression analysis to conduct data statistics. This study analyzed 985 questionnaires by using the structural equation model analysis method, built a student-oriented value impact model of academic libraries with "situation-effect-outcome" as the main line, and explored the key influencing factors. [Results/Conclusions] It is suggested that the academic libraries should enhance their value influence in the following four aspects: to strengthen the policy guidance to improve the service utilization rate of academic libraries, attach importance to the contribution and value of academic libraries in the construction of "double first-class" university service, study and build a service system that meets the needs of users, and strengthen the service support for "double first-class" university construction. In this study, the research area is set in the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the interviewees are set at the postgraduate education stage. Although it is representative to a certain extent, the sample scope is still limited. The applicability of the conclusions obtained from the empirical research needs to be further verified to improve the reliability of the conclusions. In the future, it is necessary to investigate the influence of more types of university libraries on students' academic performance and the influence of university libraries on students' academic performance at different stages of education. To verify whether school factors and the training level of students have an impact on the correlation between university libraries and students' academic performance, and whether the causal relationship between the cognition and evaluation of students promoted by university libraries and students' academic performance is applicable to all universities and students.

Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture    2023, 35 (7): 94-104.   DOI: 10.13998/j.cnki.issn1002-1248.23-0312
    Abstract62)      PDF(pc) (6629KB)(50)       Save
[Purpose/Significance] Geographical indications (GIs) are an important tool for local governments in China to carry out brand building of agricultural products. Brand management is a continuous systematic project involving multiple subjects. Among them, the problem of government policy attention in the field of brand management of agricultural products with GIs deserves in-depth study. This paper aims to construct a policy attention analysis model in the field of brand management of GI agricultural products based on natural language processing technology. This model provides technical support for local governments to explore the status quo of local GI agricultural products' brand management, analyze the distribution of policy attention, and assist in optimizing strategies to promote their products' brand development. [Method/Process] The study is focused on the distribution of attention paths of GI agricultural products' brand management policies from the perspective of the local government: an analysis model of brand management policies of GI agricultural products was constructed in order to support the local government to carry out the analysis of the status quo of local agricultural products' brand management and policy optimization, and provide decision-making support for the optimization of brand management measures of the local agricultural products. First, this paper built a basic corpus based on the Python crawler technology, collected authoritative public information on the Internet, utilized the domain dictionary and UIE general information extraction framework to extract the text of management measures published in local government policies, and built a database of brand management measures of GI agricultural product. Second, a classification model of brand management measures of GI agricultural products based on the Transformer model was constructed. Third, this paper built a classification model based on the Transformer model, which can classify the extracted brand management measures of agricultural products and construct the policy attention distribution map. Finally, based on the policy attention distri-bution given by the model, we can find the brand management bottlenecks and recommend countermeasures to solve the bottlenecks. [Results/Conclusions] This paper takes Yantai apples as an example for model validation. After extracting and categorizing Yantai apples' brand management data, it is found that the policy attention of Yantai apples is more con-centrated, and the measures are highly similar, with 41.1% of the text of the measures focused on the part of brand positioning and planning, 31.7% on the part of brand competitiveness enhancement, and less than 10% on the part of brand marketing and protection. It can be seen that the brand effect of Yantai apples with GIs has not been well utilized.

[Purpose/Significance] In social media, the complex phenomenon of group polarization caused by the effect of network circle groups has brought serious challenges to the guidance and governance of online public opinion. This paper aims to explore the influencing mechanism of multi-dimensional environmental risk perception on group polarization in the network circle groups, and provide theoretical support and insights into the management of group polarization. [Method/Process] First, based on the protective motivation theory and the circle group structure theory, risk perception was divided into three dimensions: risk fact perception, risk loss perception and risk reaction behavior perception, and a network circle group was divided into three layers: point, line and structure. Based on this, a theoretical model of the relationship between risk perception and group polarization under the background of network circle groups was constructed. Second, taking the "6.10" hitting event as an example, a questionnaire was designed to collect sample data, and two sets of comparative data were obtained from the perspectives of randomly selected women and circled female groups, and the reliability and validity of the data were tested and analyzed. Finally, Amos26.0 software was used to establish a structural equation model (SEM) for empirical analysis of the research hypothesis in this paper, and the Bootstrap method was used to test the mediating effect of network circle groups, revealing the effect of risk perception on group polarization in network circle groups. [Results/Conclusions] 1) Compared with the random female group, the degree of homogeneity in the network group is higher, and the circle group effect is significant. 2) Risk perception has a significant positive impact on the formation of group polarization, in which the perceived risk response behavior has the most significant impact on group polarization. 3) Network circle groups have a significant positive influence on the formation of group polarization, among which "structure" has the most significant influence on group polarization. 4) Network circle groups play a mediating role between multi-dimensional risk perception and group polarization. The research not only reveals the generation path of network circle groups and risk perception on group polarization and the key factors affecting the occurrence of group polarization from the theoretical level, but also provides directions for relevant departments to manage group polarization and reduce public risk perception. This study has several limitations. For instance, SEM model setting and questionnaire design depend on the subjective experience and theoretical assumptions of researchers, and may have selectivity bias, so the model setting in this paper is subjective to a certain extent.

[Purpose/Significance] To explore the influencing factors of the added value of scientific data and reveal the inherent development laws of the added value of scientific data. [Method/Process] First, based on the interview data of 18 experts and the research results related to the value appreciation of scientific data in existing literature, the grounded theory method was adopted. Through open coding, main-axis coding, and selective coding, 19 categories, 6 main categories, and 3 core categories were finally obtained. From this, a theoretical model of the factors influencing the value appreciation of scientific data was obtained. On this basis, the Vensim PLE tool was used to establish a dynamic model of the value appreciation system of scientific data, and the process of value appreciation of scientific data was dynamically simulated and analyzed to reveal the relationship between various influencing factors and the value appreciation of scientific data. [Results/Conclusions] In the process of increasing the value of scientific data, the quality factor of raw data is a prerequisite, and high-quality raw scientific data are conducive to the integration and secondary development of subsequent scientific data. The data literacy of data producers represented by researchers has the most significant impact on the quality of scientific data. The level of data storage and payment has a significant impact on the added value of scientific data. When the perceived effort and perceived risk of data storage and payment by researchers decrease, accompanied by the pressure of scientific data sharing policies, researchers become more likely to increase their willingness to save and pay, thereby significantly improving the scale effect of data storage and payment. The organization and integration of scientific data is the key to the formation of value-added scientific data. Overall, the metadata quality has the most significant impact on the level of scientific data organization and integration. The quality of metadata is the foundation of scientific data processing, classification, and integration. The higher the quality of metadata, the more it helps to improve the level of scientific data organization and integration. The sharing and development of scientific data is the key to realizing the value-added of scientific data. It is the final step in realizing the value-added of scientific data. In this process, the scale of scientific data openness, the quality of scientific data sharing platforms, and development capabilities all have a positive promoting effect on the level of scientific data sharing and development.

[Purpose/Significance] China is a major agricultural country, and the stability of agricultural product prices directly determines the development of China's economy. Developing an agricultural product price index is of great significance for establishing a sound agricultural product price index system, providing participants with a clear understanding of the development status of the agricultural product market, and improving levels for market monitoring and early warning. [Method/Process] Based on the current research results on agricultural product prices and price indices, this study explores the principles of constructing agricultural product price indices, the framework of agricultural product price index system, index classification and grading, calculation models, and weight determination methods, in order to develop a set of agricultural product price index construction methods that are in line with the operational characteristics of agricultural products in the current wholesale market. Based on statistical data and industry research data, an empirical study was conducted on the construction of agricultural product price indices. The five major categories of agricultural product price indices, sub-categories of agricultural product price indices, large variety of agricultural product price indices, and single variety of agricultural product price indices are weighted based on the market volume of each variety of agricultural product during the reporting period of the wholesale market, using the Pap index as the principle, and given weights based on the market volume during the reporting period. The weight of the overall agricultural product price index has been optimized and adjusted, and the model has been constructed using the basis principle of the Laplace index. The weight of major categories of agricultural products such as meat, poultry, eggs, aquatic products, grain and oil, fresh fruits and vegetables is based on per capita agricultural product expenditure data from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, while the weight of major categories of agricultural products is based on research data from the Beijing agricultural industry, avoiding the problem of imbalanced weight. [Results/Conclusions] The empirical results indicate that the framework and classification of the agricultural product price index system are reasonable, and the index calculation model and weight determination method are scientific and feasible. This not only enriches and improves the theory and method of constructing the agricultural product price index system, but also provides useful reference for the construction of other circulation chain price indexes of agricultural products, to develop the Beijing agricultural product wholesale price series index. It also plays a positive role in market monitoring and early warning of the operation of the Beijing agricultural product market, enhancing the influence of agricultural product brands, and implementing agricultural insurance.
